Committees

Research committees like the Research Advisory Board (RAB) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) serve distinct but complementary roles in ensuring that studies are high-quality, ethically sound, and strategically aligned with institutional goals. While the IRB handles ethics, the RAB (often also called a Research Advisory Committee) focuses on the strategic, technical, and developmental aspects of research.
